AIDA 4 MASTER FREEDIVER COURSE DESCRIPTION
The AIDA 4 Course is an advanced course designed to continue training and knowledge beyond the Intermediate Freediving Course. These are for students who want to continue beyond a recreational level. Deep freediving knowledge will be discussed and practiced: safety, methods of improving lung flexibility, deeper equalization techniques. Practical information will also be discussed on body stretches, cross training, and diet.
The student will develop skills with the main categories of freediving: Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Constant Weight, Free Immersion, and Variable Weight.
REQUIREMENTS
Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
Already completed an AIDA 3 Advanced Course
First Aid with CPR Certification within the last two years.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Completion of the AIDA 4 would require the student to demonstrate:
- 3:30 minute breathold
- 70m long underwater swim
- 32m depth swim (Max of 38m)
- and a written exam
FORMAT
The course takes four (4) days and is composed of:
Min 3 Theory Sessions
Min 1 Stretching Session
Min 2 Pool Sessions
Min 4 Open Water Sessions.
