AIDA 3 ADVANCED FREEDIVER COURSE DESCRIPTION
The AIDA 3 Course builds up the knowledge and skills learned in the beginner freediver course. The course will have a deeper understanding of your body underwater: physiology, equalization, barotrauma, mammalian dive reflex, lung sizes and safety. All knowledge needed for safely going deeper. More time will be spent in the water for technique improvement, maximizing efficiency through freefalls, and methods for training.
REQUIREMENTS
Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
Already completed an AIDA 2 Beginner Course
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Completion of the AIDA 3 would require the student to demonstrate:
- 2:45 minute breathold
- 55m long underwater swim
- 24m depth swim (Max of 30m)
- and a written exam
These requirements can be completed within 1 year from taking the course.
FORMAT
Given we are trying to reduce contact as much as possible, we will try to do all lectures online prior the course. The course takes three (3) days and is composed of:
3 Theory Sessions
2 Pool Sessions
4 Open Water Sessions. We might have to find a pool to do in Manila before going to Anilao.
Kindly book a few weeks in advance, so we can plan out details of the lecture.
Email us if you wish to take an AIDA 3 so we can make a schedule. Sessions can be split up to have lectures and pool in Manila, then diving sessions in Anilao.
PRICE: PHP 17,000
Listed price is for the course fee and certification with AIDA, and does not include: equipment rentals, resort fees.
At the end of the course, student will be certified according to the requirements performed.
If the requirements for the AIDA 3 are not yet completed, student has one year to complete.
